We have always had a problem with water standing on the side deck of the boat. It wasn’t much just the height of the toe rail but was a constant annoyance. It was there every morning after dew collected on the boat overnight. Every time we took the boat out and got a little spray over the rail there was a puddle of salt water. We drilled the rail and then took a dremel tool and routed out the grove. The photos were taken right after a rain. As you can see it is working well.
